淋巴球分為T、B兩種細胞,T細胞常見的有輔助T細胞(Helper T cell)、細胞毒性T細胞(cytotoxic T cell)與自然殺手T細胞(Natural Killer Cell)可依據輔助T細胞指令出動辨識攻擊被病毒感染的細胞或偵測癌細胞。B細胞具有製造抗體能力可以分泌抗體中和病菌毒性使其更容易被消滅。如此一來就可以用有抗原又對人體具有免疫力保護,也就是說,增強免疫力從根本就是可以增加免疫細胞(NK T細胞)來著手比較直接。
